Who we are

Handy Hank, a trading name of North Peak Partners Inc., connects Canadian homeowners with vetted local contractors, and helps contractors receive qualified job leads. This policy covers the information we handle when you visit our site, complete a form, or request to be matched with a pro.

When we say "we" or "us" we mean Handy Hank. When we say "you" we mean anyone who uses the site.

02

Information we collect

Details you give us. When you fill out a form or quiz, we collect things like your name, email, phone number, postal code or city, and details about your project or business.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. We use cookies and similar tools to remember your preferences and measure how the site performs.

03

How we use your information

We use your information to match homeowners with suitable contractors, respond to your requests, improve our services, prevent fraud, and send you relevant updates about your enquiry.

We never sell your personal information. We only share what is needed to connect you with a matched contractor or to run the service.

04

How we share information

When you ask to be matched, we share your project details with the single contractor best suited to help you. We do not run an auction and we do not pass your details to multiple companies. We may also share data with trusted service providers who help us run the site, such as hosting, analytics, and email delivery, under agreements that require them to protect it.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

05

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep the site working, remember your choices, and understand which content is useful. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning some cookies off may affect how parts of the site work.

06

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

07

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You can also opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable Canadian privacy law.

08

How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

09

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or territory.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
